Being part of the Sixth Form at Mount St Mary’s has honestly been the most rewarding part of my school journey. The support from teachers is incredible, they treat you like an individual and really care about your future. I’ve been able to focus on the subjects I love, and the atmosphere in the Sixth Form Centre makes it easy to stay motivated. It’s helped me grow not just academically, but personally too.

We are proud to offer outstanding students predicted grades 8 and 9 at GCSE the opportunity to join our prestigious Academic Scholars Programme at Mount St Mary’s College Sixth Form.

Our Sixth Form provides an exciting environment where students enjoy greater independence, focused study, and personal growth in preparation for university and life beyond school. As part of our Higher Line pathway, students specialise in a smaller selection of A Level subjects, allowing them to delve deeper into their academic passions and tailor their studies to their future goals.

Our dedicated Sixth Form Centre is a welcoming, modern space designed to support both collaborative learning and quiet, individual research. Students also benefit from a private common room, a space to relax, recharge, and build lasting friendships.

With a broad range of subjects across the sciences, humanities, and arts, taught by expert teachers, our curriculum offers flexibility and academic challenge. From the start of your Sixth Form journey, you’ll receive personalised careers guidance to help you plan your next steps, whether that’s university, a professional course, or a competitive work placement after Year 13.

  • Broadly speaking the subject choice we offer at A level is traditionally academic, but we do offer some CTEC options as well.
