Current Vacancies
Position: School Minibus Driver
Start date: February 2025
Weeks: Term time only, 35 weeks annually
Rate of Pay: £11.52 per hour (plus holiday entitlement pay)
2 positions available – hours noted below
22 hours per week
Monday to Friday 06:30 – 08:30 & 17:15 – 19:15
Saturday 07:00 – 09:00
(Possibility of overtime for ad hoc sports fixture transport and such requirements)
&
10 hours per week
Monday to Friday 17:15 – 19:15
We are recruiting for two part time, school minibus drivers to join our team of friendly, dedicated support staff to transport our pupils between home and school, to other venues as necessary including sports fixtures, and, between our two schools.

Nestled in beautiful and spacious grounds in the North East Derbyshire village of Spinkhill, Mount St Mary’s College is an independent Jesuit day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 11-18. Barlborough Hall School is a co-educational independent day school and nursery for children aged three to 11, and is located in the magnificent private grounds of Barlborough Park, near Chesterfield in Derbyshire. The staff are a community who are genuine in their commitment to the needs of the students and the School as a whole.
To comply with Permit Regulations, issued under Section 19 of the Transport Act 1985, applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have held a full, clean Group B or higher driving licence for more than 2 years. The licence should include a minimum D1 (not for hire or reward) for minibuses, and applicants should have experience of driving 17-seater (including driver) and LWB transit minibuses or similar large vehicles.
At the Mount we are striving to have excellently trained minibus drivers, therefore the successful candidate must be willing to undergo MiDAS training, as the successful completion of the MiDAS course is an essential requirement of the post.

Mount St Mary’s is a prestigious independent school situated close to Junction 30 of the M1.
We require Exam Invigilators to administer and invigilate exams within the School.
This will be on a casual basis, as required throughout the academic year starting in April 2025.
You will work as part of a pool of invigilators ensuring that exams are carried out in
accordance with rules set out by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ).

Working Pattern: 35 hours per week – across 5 days
Weekend shifts worked on a rota
Evening / events expected to be covered with notice provided
Term time only (35 weeks per year plus holiday entitlement pay)

52 weeks per year (25 days holiday allowance)
Salary: £18,533.58 or £24,570 per annum
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic chef with a proactive approach and solid catering experience. You will work as part of a team in the preparation of the daily menus for the school. Due to the nature of our business you will be expected to act upon your own initiative and be flexible in your approach which may require extended hours of work.
The Catering Team play a vital role in ensuring that a high quality food service is offered to pupils, boarders and staff, meeting the high expectations of the food facility offered at the School.
You
The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of current food safety and hygiene legislations, have previous experience of being a Chef in a busy environment. Relevant catering qualifications are advantageous for the successful candidate although experience is essential. Having a positive and flexible approach with the ability to take initiative and innovate is key to this role.
