Duke of Edinburgh Award

All pupils at Mount St Mary’s College are invited to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

The scheme allows young people discover new interests and talents while developing essential skills for life and work. It is a recognised mark of achievement and is respected by employers.

There are three progressive levels of the award – Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each level involves helping the community or environment, becoming fitter, developing new skills, planning, training for and completing an expedition, and – for Gold only – working with a team on a residential activity.
