Celebrating Success: Mount St Mary's College Shines in ISI Report

Updated: Feb 22

Under the new ISI framework introduced in October 2023, significant changes have reshaped the way schools are assessed. We are proud to be at the forefront of this change, which gives a much deeper insight into key elements of school life both in the classroom and beyond. Inspectors may no longer use summary judgments such as "Outstanding" or "Good." Instead, the inspectors will declare that children either make good progress, or that they do not, with a detailed summary of each area. At Mount St Mary's College, we are proud to announce that our students make good progress.

In this revised framework, schools are evaluated based on whether they have "met" or "not met" the Independent School Standards and Regulations (ISSRs). For schools falling short, immediate action points are provided for swift remediation. We are thrilled to be able to share that Mount St Mary's College has met all ISSRs, with no action points.

In alignment with the new assessment approach, all schools must receive recommendations. These are presented at the outset of the report and greater detail is provided as you read through.

We are particularly proud of the key highlights of our ISI report, which showcase our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in education, ethos, student wellbeing and boarding.
